Consultation for parents of young toddlers and preschoolers presenting with a range of behavioral concerns including irregular sleep patterns/poor sleep habits, toileting, feeding (e.g., restricted diet, refusal to try new foods), and behavioral challenges. Consultations are offered on a one-time basis to discuss parental concerns and determine the need for ongoing counseling.

Parent/Caregiver Training is available in the form of ongoing therapy to assist parents in developing the tools necessary for managing their young child’s behavior and emotions. Therapists help parents/caregivers to understand their child’s temperament and how it impacts their social/ emotional and behavioral development. Recommendations are tailored to meet the individual needs of each family.

Developmental Testing is offered for children as young as 12-months to address questions of developmental delay, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), social/ emotional/ behavioral adjustment, and school readiness. The psychologist obtains a detailed developmental history through parent/caregiver interview as well as the completion of various questionnaires.

Observations of the child in their natural environment often complement an evaluation. Results of the evaluation provide the parent with an understanding of their child’s strengths and weaknesses. An extensive feedback discussion occurs with the testing psychologist and parents during which appropriate recommendations and resources are shared.

School/Day Care Consultation is available for those children who are struggling to meet their expectations within the classroom setting. In order to understand a child’s difficulties, our clinicians often observe the child within his/her natural setting and provide recommendations to parents, teachers, caregivers, and other professionals. Ongoing consultation within the child’s educational setting is also available.
